ROBERT PLANT Performs 'African-Style' Versions Of LED ZEPPELIN Classics At Charity Concert

September 11, 2009

According to a posting on the LED ZEPPELIN fan site Lemon Squeezings, former ZEPPELIN singer Robert Plant performed "African-style" renditions of the band's classic songs "Black Dog" and "Whole Lotta Love" earlier tonight (Friday, September 11) at the Rockwell charity gig at London, England's O2 arena.

Fan-filmed video footage of Plant's appearance can be viewed below.

For one night only, Rockwell brought together some of the world's biggest bands and musicians. Performing never-to-be-repeated collaborations at the O2 were Plant, Ronan Keating, Lulu, Razorlight, Joss Stone, David Gray, Tom Jones, Gabriella Cilmi, Supergrass and many more.

Proceeds from the show will be donated to Nordoff-Robbins.

Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy is the U.K.'s largest specialist music therapy charity, providing over 35,000 therapy sessions a year through its national centre in London and over 40 outreach projects nationwide.
